WHAT WE OFFER

MUSIC

SLA is dedicated to helping students have a rounded education and train individuals to be service minded. Therefore, we offer a wide variety of music classes from Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. Each grade at the elementary level focuses on different areas of music including but not limited to music appreciation to Ukulele, Band, and Choir. At the high school level students may participate in Band, Choir, Il Voce (auditioned choral group), and/or Handbells. Groups travel to area churches sharing their gifts and talents. On a rotational basis, some groups travel longer distances once a year.

ARTS

Our Creator God gave humanity the gift of creativity. SLA offers multiple opportunities for students to develop, practice, and display their artistic talents. Students grades PK-12 participate in various forms of fine art right in the classroom. Art 1, Photography, Creative Artistic Exploration, Drama, and Drawing 1 are offered at the high school level. High School students also have the opportunity to take creative courses such as Graphic Design 1 and 2 and participate in the Award-Winning Yearbook program.

ROBOTICS CLUB

Robotics Club has become a regular part of the school year. SLA takes part each year in First Lego League robotics. Meeting once a week for the entire school year, students from grades 2-12 can explore and learn how to make and code robots.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

South Lancaster Academy's National Honor Society chapter was founded in 1987 and actively promotes the cultivation of student leaders on our campus. In addition to guiding our student organizations and setting a high example academically for other students, NHS members promote regular charity drives and initiatives throughout the year to promote service to their fellow humans.

Approximately 20% of the school's student body are enrolled in NHS, meeting the rigorous standards set by the national organizational body. We are proud of the leadership!

We offer an hourly rate and request pre-planning by filling out the After Care form and turning it into the elementary office each week by Thursday afternoon.
